They are Still Here!

Gus:  The Cookie Kittens are STILL here!  They were only to be here a week!  They had a nasty bug...or parasite.  After many bouts of bloody diarrhea and several rounds of antibiotics, they are now healthy.
Since they are healthy, I thought they'd be out the door.  No such luck! They are here for another TWO weeks!  Why, you are wondering?  They are going to Oregon.  There is actually a kitten shortage in Oregon.  Crazy isn't it?  They have such a great TNR (trap-neuter-return) program in Portland, they have to get their kittens from other parts of the country.  Kansas City is about to have a kitten explosion so a van full of kittens is headed out west...and I'm stuck with the minions students a little while longer.
Since they are here, we let them participate in our Easter preparations and our Sunday Selfies.  Enjoy!

We're Back!

Gus:  With the Mama's job responsibilities, we weren't able to blog in the last few months but hopefully things have calmed down a bit so that we can bring you all the antics of our students.

With that, I would like to introduce you to our current class.  The Coffee & Cookie Kits!   Parisi, Oreo, and Cookie!  For those of you who don't know, Parisi is a coffee company here in Kansas City.

These kittens will be graduating soon.  They were surrendered by a family that had too many cats.  They are already 8 weeks old.  They need to gain a few more ounces to reach 2 pounds and be big enough for their spay and neuter surgeries.

We haven't taught the minions students how to take selfies yet but I'm hoping our friends at The Cat On My Head won't mind.  We've missed participating in their Sunday Selfie Blog Hop.  Please join us in visiting the other blog hop entries.

Happy Halloween!

Gus:  Well, hello!  Long time, no blogging.  We apologize for that.  It's all the Mama's fault.  Her job has been very stressful and she works all the time.

Then on top of that the minions students were really sick.  Jessie had an upper respiratory infection.  Laynie had pneumonia.  After weeks and weeks of antibiotics, both are doing much better now except Laynie has ringworm.  You may be wondering how Laynie got ringworm while with us?  Remember when Hemi came to visit?  We didn't know he had ringworm at the time.  With all the excessive cuddling Hemi and Laynie were doing, Laynie picked up his ringworm.  It just goes to show you, you shouldn't cuddle on the first date.  Laynie has forgiven Hemi for giving her a fungus.  Amazingly, no one else has gotten ringworm.

Since it's Halloween, we made Mama take a break from work so she could post pictures from our school Halloween party.  Enjoy!

Visiting Team

Gus:  A couple weeks ago, Emmy transferred to another school.  When her coach had to go out of town for a conference, Emmy asked if she and the rest of the team could stay with us.

Of course, we said yes!   Emmy couldn't wait to introduce the rest of the team!

First up is Hemi.  Hemi fell out of moving car engine.  Luckily, a Good Samaritan saw it happen, was able to swerve to miss hitting Hemi, stopped to pick him up and took him to Great Plains SPCA.

Lastly, there is Jill.  Someone found her in a bucket and brought her to Great Plains SPCA.

Laynie loves having some kittens to play with.  Here are some more photos of all the cuteness here at Purr's Training Acatemy.
