The Cranberries are Graduating

The Cranberry Kittens are graduating on Tuesday when the are spayed and neutered.  They will be available for adoption on Wednesday at Great Plains SPCA's Merriam Campus.

To celebrate, they took their graduation selfies.

We say every class is the best class and we mean it!  This class is extra special - Delores specifically.  We think Delores has the great makings of an adventure cat/therapy cat/agility cat.  She is un-phased by things including dogs and she is awesome on a leash.  She just needs someone to nurture those skills.  Actually, all the students in this class have this potential; Delores is just a little more advanced.  If you've always wanted a cat to make therapy visits to hospitals or to compete in agility competitions or go hiking with you, you should consider adopting one of the Cranberry Kittens.

Royal Wedding

The students were inspired by the Royal Wedding for their Sunday Selfies.  It showed them that even American kitties with mixed heritage can find their prince or princess for a happily-ever-after.

Meet the Cranberries!

We would like to introduce you to our newest class of students!  This class is named after the band the Cranberries.  Our friend, Julie is a huge fan of the band and wanted to do something to pay tribute after the passing of the lead singer, Delores O'Riordan.

Not only are the kittens making their premiere on the blog, they are making their Sunday Selfie premiere as we join our friends from The Cat on My Head.  Please hop on over to see the other blog hop entries.

Luck of the Irish

Gus:  Our newest student have the luck of the Irish!  They were rescued from a hoarding situation and brought to Great Plains SPCA on St. Patrick's Day.  With luck like that, we thought they deserved some traditional Irish names.

We'd like to introduce you to Aidan and Maeve!

Aidan means fiery little one.  We thought this made sense with his yellow, orange fur and playful purrsonality.

Maeve means the cause of great joy.  According to Irish legend Maeve was also a great warrior queen.  Someday she will bring great joy as she becomes the queen of her forever home.

We will only have Aidan and Maeve for a short amount of time.  They are already two pounds and acting like playful, rowdy teenagers.

Our new students would love to join the Cat on My Head's Sunday Selfie Blog Hop.  Please hop on over to see the other entries.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Gus:  The, I mean I mean students wanted to wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day with some photos.  I decided to show them how it's done.

Wait!  That's my sexy pose.  That's not suppose to be in here.

OK.  That photo is better for students to see!  Now here are the students' photos.

Happy Valentine's Day!
We love you!

Kitten Cribs

Welcome to this edition of Kitten Cribs!  Ever wonder how the rich and famous kittens* live?  Join us as we tour the home of the cast of I Love Kittens.

Lucy, Ethel and Fred live in a four story townhouse in the suburbs of Kansas City.

There are five bedrooms

Three living areas.

Two dining areas.

And two bathrooms.

The bottom level also serves as a play room.  When these kittens aren't on set of their wildly popular show** you will find them chillin in their crib!

*These kittens aren't rich or famous.
**Their show isn't wildly popular because there isn't a show.

Update on our commentathon!
We had 28 people comment during our commentathon.  We are going to round that up and donate $30 to Great Plains SPCA's Foster Program.  Thank you to everyone that commented!
